In many restive areas of Syria, tribesmen are implemented by the Syrian army as paramilitary causes known as Shabiha."
He had written they have also been generally known as "jahaaz, which indicates 'apparatus,' as in a protection equipment, but has the significance of 'political resources.'"
Landis notices that in the Seventies, the "feared" Shabiha also performed an essential part in offering Syrians' products, from mayo to tooth paste.
"They became this super-regime devoted factor, whose living and upcoming were reliant on the program," Landis said.
